Tanned Raccoon Hides - Readily available in various grades & sizes.
GRADES-
- Select #1's - BEST, Top 5-10%
- I&II's - Top 10-20%, Complete without damages or gradable flaws
- SLTS - Slightly damaged, usually have one small flaw that is hard to notice with the untrained eye, such as a small hole in leather, slip spot (bald spot), rubbed fur and some may have partial or missing tails and/or damaged faces
- III's (#3's) - craft grade commonly have tears or holes and/or slip spots, or sometimes no damage just poor quality fur, most of our #3s are #1s that have taken damage, so there will still be a good amount of top quality usable fur to craft with
SIZES (based on raw fur measurements, hides shrink during tanning process, expect hide to be 10-20% smaller)
- Small/Medium - Up to 24"
- Large/XL - 24"-29"
- XXL-Jumbo - 30" and up
Variation Disclaimer - Please be aware that each type of fur has its own unique range of variations in color shades & overall look. Camera lighting can also slightly change how a product looks. Thanks to natural variations in wild fur no two hides will look identical.
